You know it’s coming: Stampede Jeans

Give me a break – you’re not going to be jumping in the saddle this July. Why not just buy a fresh pair of jeans that looks good, fits right and will hold it’s own during the wildest ten days of the year?

For the past few years, we’ve seen jeans with lots of embellishments, rips and fading. This year, the style has gone back to basics with a classic cut and fit.

You know it’s coming: Stampede Shirts

Is it not always right around the corner? Well, now it literally is. The Calgary Stampede is officially 16 days away and so lucky you, you still have some time to get some fresh snap button shirts to spill beer all over yourself for ten days.

Stampede wear for men doesn’t’ seem all that tricky – and the truth is, it shouldn’t be. The average Calgarian who Stampedes 5 – 6 times during the ten days should have at least three shirts that be thrown in the wash and hung to dry. You want to try to start with something that isn’t already stained from last year, too.

Think light weight shirts that are good for summer, with loose sleeves that can be rolled up to or over the elbow. You also want to look for patterns that hide spills, dust and sweat because it’s mucky in the infield.

Don’t only opt for plaids and checks. Paisley’s are a big pattern this season, whether it is be for the rodeo boys or the beer tub kings. Thing about patterns and fits that you could wear any weekend of the year, if you really wanted.
